Exhibit Hall


Entry Information

Ronald Mcdonald Exhibit Hall entries will be accepted on Sunday, September 29th, 1:00 to 5:00 pm & Monday, September 30th - Tuesday, October 1st, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Baked goods and flower entries may also be made on Wednesday, September 28, 9:00 am to noon.

All entries will be judged on merit. A ‘first’ place award is not automatic in any category.

All baked good entries are sold wednesday after judging is complete. Proceeds go to the Ronald Mcdonald House. Pans, plates, etc. are part of your entry!

*Precautions are in place to protect all entries from damage and loss. The Aurora Farmers Fair & the Aurora Lions Club will not be responsible for loss or injury to exhibit items.

Needlework

Articles for competition must have been completed in the past year. Entries must be the complete work of the exhibitor. There is no limit to the number of entries in each category.

4-H Club Work

Any youth currently enrolled in a regular 4-H Club is eligible to show in the class corresponding to the project in which they were enrolled. The requirements governing each exhibit are in the 4-H project manual. Judging of each exhibit is on its own merit. All exhibits must be the result of 4-H work created since September 1, 2024.

Prizes to be awarded: 1st - $3, 2nd - $2, 3rd - $1

Duct Tape Projects

All entries must have been made by the exhibitor in the past two years. All items must be completely covered by duct tape although decorative accents may be used.

Youth: Anyone under 18 years of age. Adults: Anyone not classified as a Youth may enter.

Categories:

  • Clothing - All articles made for wear in public.
  • Personal - Items made as accessories for clothing, i.e Flip flops, Jewelry, Purse, Wallet, etc.
  • Household - Items such as Flowers, Lamp Shades, Placemats, etc.

Placement of entries in a category is at the discretion of the judges.

Prizes to be awarded in each category: $5 – 1st, $3 – 2nd, $1 – 3rd.

Fine Art

All entries must have been completed in the past year. ALL ADULT entries must be framed and wired for hanging. Only two entries in each class of adult art are permitted per exhibitor. Students may enter three pieces.

Baked & Canned Goods

Entries for Baked and Canned Goods will be accepted Sunday, Sept. 29th, Monday, Sept. 30th, Tuesday, Oct. 1st, and Wednesday Oct. 2nd. Baked Goods Only, 9am - Noon, Wednesday, Sept. 28. All Baked Goods must be covered with plastic wrap and entered on a sturdy, non-returnable base. Box cakes may only be used in the Decorated Cake category!

All Baked Goods are sold WEDNESDAY AFTER JUDGING with the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati.

Decorated Rocks

Are you Artistic? Crafty? Imaginative? Here is an opportunity to show everyone just how good you are! The rules are pretty simple - Decorate a rock and enter it at the fair. You can paint it, dress it, combine it with other rocks to tell a story, make a picture, or do a sculpture. The craftsmanship must be your own, it can weigh no more than 25 pounds and must fit on a shelf 11-1/4” deep. Let your imagination run wild and be your guide. Dearborn County Rocks are welcome!

Prizes will be awarded for: Grades 1-3 • Grades 4-6 • Grades 7-8 • Grades 9-12 • Adults.
